First Visit Expectations

We care for your child as if they were our own. We know that as parents, you appreciate being informed before arriving at the dentist.  Below is an overview of what you and your child can expect during their first visit to Brock & Casas Pediatric Dentistry.

Let’s get to know each other

Your child’s first visit is not only about our team getting to know them, but also about you getting to know our team. In the time we spend together, we encourage you and your child to ask questions, express any concerns, and share with us anything you want us to know to help make your little one’s care as individual as they are.

Part of getting to know your child and providing safe, personalized support involves reviewing their medical history. Certain medical conditions and medications and can influence treatment protocols – so you will be asked to provide a medical history and list any medications and their dosages (including vitamins and supplements).

Depending on your children’s age, digital x-rays may be taken and a comprehensive oral exam of their teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw will be performed, including a non-invasive oral cancer screening.

You’re in great hands

Once a pediatric cleaning has been done by one of our amazing hygienists, Dr. Brock or Dr. Casas will review your child’s exam results and x-rays (if any were taken) and talk with you about their findings. Together you can create a healthy, effective treatment plan that best meets your child’s dental and personal requirements. We can prioritize and stagger your treatments to give your child the smile they deserve in a timeframe you can afford.
